Zara's New Arrivals Just Eliminated Any Need for Further Holiday-Outfit Shopping

Zara; PICTURED: Zara Shoulder Pad Velvet Dress ($50)

The holidays, as filled with joy and celebration as they are, can also be majorly stressful. There are presents to buy, people to see, parties to attend, and, of course, outfits to pick out. So many outfits. And while we all wish that the perfect velvet top or off-the-shoulder LBD could just magically appear in our closets right before we have to head out the door for the first event of the season, that isn't exactly how it works in anyone other than Cher Horowitz's closet. Damn.

That's kind of where I come in. Well, Zara and I. After scrolling through the brand's latest drop, it dawned on me just how perfect so many of the pieces were for the various holiday events we'll all be invited to attend in the coming two months or so. So to help curb the stress of the forthcoming holiday season, I copied a few of the most appropriate (and chic!) items from Zara's new-arrivals page and pasted them below. It's as close to the Clueless closet as I could get. Scroll down to see how I did.

The pointy shoulders automatically made me think of Saint Laurent.

This slip can easily be dressed way up or way down.

If you're in need of a simple handbag that works for day and night, this is my pick.

Wear this tucked into jeans, skirts, trousers, and more. No matter what you wear it with, it'll look good.

An LBD will always be a good idea, especially during the holidays.

Adding a good pair of earrings will make any outfit 10 times better. Period.

This is the kind of dress that will make everyone who sees you in it wish they bought it first.

Both halter tops and red are trending right now. Check off both trends for under $100 with this draped top.

Who needs a designer bag when you have this one (that also comes in white)?

These are so adorably retro. I can't stand it.

Sequins during the holidays? Groundbreaking.

The shoulder pads really do it for me.

It is the color of the season, after all.

If off-the-shoulder tops are good enough for Meghan Markle, they're certainly good enough for me.

I'm all for the high-neck look. It's just so elegant.

A fun bag will make any outfit.

Even a stressful holiday dinner won't be able to make you feel less than 100 if you're wearing this dress.
